Club info

Need something explained?

We understand that being part of Warragul Swimming Club can sometimes seem daunting - rules that everyone else seems to know and you don’t.  Information that everyone seems to understand except you!

So, if you ever have any questions, queries or just want something explained please feel free to ask, phone or email your Team Manager or any one of the committee who will be more than happy to help you.

Club Aggregate Nights

Aggregate nights are held every second Friday during training.  This is a great opportunity for swimmers to practice their race starts and work on their times.  All times are recorded and trophies presented for the most improved swimmers at the end of season Presentation Night.

It is also a good opportunity for parents to learn and practice timekeeping.

Friday Night Club Meeting

Every Friday night prior to swimming training a club meeting is held and members are given the latest information on any training schedule changes, upcoming swim meets, closing dates for entries and upcoming club activities.

The meeting commences at 5.45pm and parents & swimmers are encouraged to attend.  This meeting also provides an opportunity to ask questions and meet other parents, etc.

Timekeeping

Like most other sports, there is a parental requirement to participate in volunteer rosters to contribute to the successful running of the club.

In the sport of swimming timekeeping is a regular duty that you will be required to assist with.  Timekeeping is COMPULSORY at all Gippsland Swimming competitions that our club attends and a roster will be drawn up and emailed to families prior to the meet.

Warragul Swimming Club also runs our own meets throughout the year and you may be asked to assist with alternative tasks such as marshalling, program seller, medal distributor, etc.  These tasks are not difficult and are vital for the ongoing operation of our club.

Thank you for your assistance.
