Qualifying times

Swimmers require qualifying times for all Championship meets ie. National, State, Country, Gippsland.  Many other swim meets set qualifying times on various events and it is important that swimmers enter using the correct time.

Qualifying times for all long course events must be obtained in a 50m pool - short course conversion is no longer allowed.  When entering for short course events you may use either a short course or long course time (no converstion) whichever is the fastest.

When a swimmer enters an event with a qualifying time and swims outside this time - their entry time will be checked and if this cannot be substantiated  (ie. there is no record of the swimmer recording this time) a fine will be applied.  All fines are the responsibility of the individual swimmer.

It is the swimmer's responsibility to ensure correct qualifying times are used.  Times can be checked by using the National Database, which contains all approved meet results from January 2008
